Santos preparing bid to sign Robinho on loan

The Brazilians are apparently willing to offer the forward a monthly pay rise of €200,000 in order to return to Vila Belmiro, where he spent three years before moving to Europe.

UOL Esporte claims that Santos, who will celebrate their centenary on Saturday, are trying to tempt the Brazil international back to Vila Belmiro with a salary of €600,000 per month, which represents a €200,000 increase on his current wage with the Rossoneri.

However, the report goes on to say that there are several stumbling blocks, with the player's father apparently against the idea of his son returning to Brazil on the grounds that there are too many distractions within his homeland.

In addition, it is believed that Milan do not want to lose Robinho, a valuable member of their forward line, given Antonio Cassano is only just ready to return to the first team after five months out of action, while there are ongoing doubts over the fitness of Alexandre Pato.

Robinho, who is under contract with Milan until the summer of 2014, spent three seasons at Santos before leaving for Real Madrid seven years ago
